Applications close July 23: OMVIC’s Industry Advisory Council

OMVIC is now accepting applications for two positions on its Industry Advisory Council (IAC).
The purpose of the IAC is to provide guidance and advice to the OMVIC Board of Directors (the “Board”) on issues of importance to consumers related to its mandate and activities, as well as issues identified by OMVIC.

Registrants who are interested in helping shape the future of Ontario’s motor vehicle sales sector are encouraged to apply now to join the IAC. Applications for this position are open to:
- Members of motor vehicle sales associations
- Motor vehicle dealers
- Salespeople
- Individuals who are directors, officers, employees or agents of registered motor vehicle dealers
The IAC plays an important role in supporting OMVIC’s mandate of industry professionalism by providing advice to the Board of Directors on emerging issues, engagement with the sector, and opportunities to improve policies, services and programs.
IAC members are appointed for two-year terms beginning in September 2026 and are expected to attend four in-person meetings per year. The application deadline is July 23 at 5:00pm, with appointments announced by August 31, 2026.
