Audit, Finance and Risk Committee

The Audit, Finance and Risk Committee (AFRC) is a committee of the OMVIC Board of Directors that assists the board in fulfilling its responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Financial planning and reporting
  • Annual audit
  • Internal controls and risk management

Governance and Nominating Committee

The Governance and Nominating Committee (GNC) is a standing committee of the OMVIC Board of Directors that assists the board in fulfilling its responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Corporate governance
  • Recruitment, orientation and director education
  • Board, board chair and CEO and Registrar annual evaluation

Advisory Councils

Consumer Advisory Council

In support of OMVIC’s consumer protection mandate, the Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) provides advice to OMVIC’s Board of Directors on:

  • Emerging issues in the motor vehicle sales sector.
  • Approaches to enhance consumer awareness and engagement.
  • Opportunities for improvement to service delivery, policies and procedures.

Industry Advisory Council

In support of OMVIC’s consumer protection mandate, the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) provides advice to OMVIC’s Board of Directors on:

  • Opportunities for improvement to service delivery, policies and procedures.
