Andy Boston Motors operating as an illegal vehicle seller putting car buyers in the Sault Ste. Marie area at risk

Sault Ste. Marie, ON, – The Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) is warning consumers in the Sault Ste. Marie area to avoid purchasing vehicles from Andy Boston Motors, formerly operating as T.A. Boston Auto Sales Ltd. of address 257 Trunk Road, Sault Ste. Marie and its Director, Thomas Andrew Boston, also known as Andy Boston., an unregistered business operating illegally as a motor vehicle dealer.

Car buyers are reminded that purchasing a vehicle from Andy Boston, “Andy Boston Motors,” or any other unregistered seller puts them at risk of financial loss, as they are not protected under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) or the Consumer Protection Act. Andy Boston and Andy Boston Motors are not legally authorized to sell vehicles in Ontario, and doing so is a violation of the MVDA.

Background

In November 2024, the Registrar of OMVIC, Ontario’s vehicle sales regulator, ordered the revocation of the registration of T.A. Boston Auto Sales Ltd. and its Director, Thomas Andrew Boston, also known as Andy Boston, under the MVDA. Andy Boston has continued to operate as a motor vehicle seller, despite being unlicensed. This is illegal and poses a serious threat to car buyers.
