Notice of Annual Meeting 2026

Take notice that the Annual Meeting of members of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Novotel Toronto North York, Gibson Ballroom, 3 Park Home Avenue, Toronto, Ontario and online for the purpose of:

  1. Receiving reports,
  2. Electing directors,
  3. Approving minutes of the 2025 Annual Meeting,
  4. Approving by special resolution (i.e., by not less than two-thirds of votes cast) the filing of Articles of Amendment to change the corporation’s name to Ontario Motor Vehicle Regulatory Authority,
  5. Receiving the 2025 audited financial statements,
  6. Appointing auditors and authorizing the board of directors to fix their remuneration; and
  7. Transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

The 2026 Annual Meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, with the option to attend in person at the Novotel Toronto North York or virtually. Please review the registration options and deadlines below.

All OMVIC Registrants (Dealer Members and Registered Salespersons) and the general public are welcome to attend this year’s Annual Meeting. However, pre-registration is required before the meeting, as set out in the following paragraph.

Please click here to pre-register for in-person or virtual attendance at the 2026 OMVIC Annual Meeting. Please note that:

  1. The deadline to pre-register for in-person attendance is 2:30 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026; and
  2. The record date for determining members entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting and the final deadline to pre-register for virtual attendance is 2:30 pm on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Upon registering, you will receive a confirmation email with further details regarding the Annual Meeting.

Only Dealer Members may vote and participate in the Annual Meeting. Following registration, voting credentials will be issued by Data On the Spot (DOTS) 24 hours before the meeting. Dealer Members attending virtually will also receive a secure Zoom link.
