OMVIC’s Online Services Portal Outage

What do you need to know?

OMVIC’s online services portal will be upgraded to a new platform in the coming weeks. There will be outages on the portal between 5pm EST on March 28 and April 30, including a twoweek period where the portal will be shut down completely to accommodate this upgrade. During this time, online registration services will not be available or may be subject to delays and disruptions. Registrants and applicants can reach registration services by calling 1-800-943-6002.

How will this impact you?

How will this impact you? Registrants whose licences are set to expire during the outage period (i.e., 5pm March 28 and April 30) will receive a reminder notice to update their registrations before March 28 at 5pm EST.

Why are these changes being made?

The new online services portal will improve our services for salespersons, dealers, and applicants by increasing access to information, as well as adding new features and self-serve functionalities. This will allow registrants to easily submit and access their files and information anytime and anywhere.

This upgrade will also improve operations and the registrant/applicant experience by modernizing the core operating system and upgrading OMVIC’s digital capabilities.
